Poem

It’s my first day in heaven,
And what a beautiful place,
You’ll be glad to know,
There’s a smile upon my face,
The moment I left you,
Two angels in white,
Carried me up here,
To heaven that night.
All those stories you hear ,
About rainbow bridge are true,
But you don’t walk over it,
The angels carried me through,
There’s a gate at the end,
Made of pearl,
It has got to be the biggest gate,
In the world!
Once I got in and started looking around,
You just won’t believe all the things that I found!
The first place they took me,
Had to be the most fun,
A humongous field,
With miles to run!
Once I was tired the angels said,
We’ll take you to your home,
But first we need to stop by this place
Full of tasty bones,
They told me to take one with me,
But one is all I need,
Because every good thing lasts forever,
Up in heaven you see,
They took me to my new house,
It took my breath away,
Most beautiful place I’ve ever seen,
With a huge yard to play,
They said come on lets go inside ,
And have a look around,
They took me to the bottom floor,
You won’t believe what I found,
The bottom of my house is a window
And you won’t believe the view,
See my house it sets right over yours,
So I can still keep an eye on you!
I was so worried about you,
When I went away,
Now I can watch you every second,
And know that you are okay!
I can’t wait for that moment,
When we can walk around this place,
And I can cover you with puppy kisses,
On every inch of your face!

Postings

I haven’t posted anything in almost a year, I know, sad eh.  If I feel up to it, and have something to say, I might start posting again. We shall see I guess.

Anyway, hope you all have had a great Christmas and start of the new year.

Humdum

It’s been quite a while since my last post, I just haven’t had really anything to say.  This winter has been a humdrum type of winter, very little snow, not real cold, nor warm, just humdrum.  I haven’t been doing a damn thing for weeks.

Anyway, I guess that’s about all, just humdrum.

Short Drive-about

I needed to get out and away from the house yesterday, so I took a quickish drive-about.  I’ve drive this route many times, and it’s always beautiful in the winter.  Drove up Arvon Rd.  and around to Silver Rd. then Indian Rd. and out to the Herman area.  After a good snowfall, it’s a wonderful drive.

Hunt For Icy Stuff

Headed up to the Keweenaw yesterday in hopes of some big ice on the rocks, not much yet. I think it’s been to warm until the past few days for a good ice build up.
The weather was really crappy north of Calumet. The was either light freezing rain falling or a few wet snow.
Also, I couldn’t fly the drone too much, one due to the freezing crap icing up my rotor blades, and two… there were too many eagles hunting along the shore and they were eyeballing the drone.
Today I woke up to 2 fresh inches of snow, then at 7:00 AM the lake effect machine kicked in.  By noon I had 7.3 inches and the sun came out, so it was time to shovel and clear the driveway.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone.

I’ll be spending my day alone and trying to clear the driveway, it could take quite some time due to my hip problems.
Other than that, nothing I guess.

Freighters in the Bay

After defrosting the car from an inch of snow on top of an inch of frozen rain and graupel mix,  I head to to store for a few groceries.  On the way I noticed three freighters in the bay taking refuge from the storm.  Knowing I wouldn’t be able to get much of a photo from shore to include all three, I decided to fly the drone up from the house and see what I could get.
